Jerusalemites sweltered for the third day in a row Wednesday as the freak high pressure build-up continued to hover over the country affecting particularly the higher ground. While the Tel Aviv coastal area enjoyed some relief by virtue of the proximity of the sea, Jerusalemites bore the full brunt of the heat wave, with temperatures Wednesday said to be near 100 degrees in the Capital. Meteorologists had to go back to their records of the 1930’s to come up with comparable figures for the Capital.
