The second annual United Jewish Appeal National Shabbat will take place on Jan. 6-7, Rabbi Joseph H. Lookstein, chairman of the UJA Rabbinical Advisory Council, has announced. The Shabbat reinforces the strong spiritual and ethical connection between the synagogue and the ongoing work of UJA/Federations, he said. Last year, a congregation is more than 100 communities observed the Shabbat.
