The reconstruction of Bucharest’s main synagogue, the Choral Temple, has been concluded and the 120-year-old synagogue damaged during last year’s earthquake will open its gates for Passover. The Federation of Jewish Communities in Rumania announced that two other synagogues in Bucharest, Malbim and Eshuvatova, have also now been restored and are ready to welcome worshippers. The cost of restoration was estimated at $1 million, which was met by the Federation.
