A draft resolution to give financial aid and ratify projects for technical assistance to the Palestine Liberation Organization was rejected at the meeting of the governing council of the United Nations Developing Program meeting here. The draft resolution was rejected following heavy pressure from the U.S. Speaking on Israel’s contribution, the Israeli delegate, Israel Eliashiv said, “Since the inception of our international technical cooperation program, more than 7000 of our experts have been engaged in bilateral and multilateral activities in developing countries and more than 20,000 persons from various continents have been trained in Israel.”He said: “Israel stands ready to share its knowledge and experience with other developing countries and to expand further its technical cooperation with them.”
