Five rabbis were among the score of clergymen of major American religious organizations who met with President Carter at the White House yesterday to discuss U.S. foreign assistance programs now before Congress. The rabbis were Stanley Rabinowitz, president of the Rabbinical Assembly; Ely Pilchik, president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis; Bernard Rosensweig, president of the Rabbinical Council of America; Benjamin Kreitman, executive vice president of the United Synagogue of America; and Mark Tanenbaum, director of the inter-religious affairs department of the American Jewish committee.
