Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan of Israel is due to arrive in Paris Oct. 30 for a two-day official visit. He is scheduled to confer with President Valery Giscard d’Estaing and review the post-Camp David Middle East situation with Foreign Minister Louis de Guiringaud.

While fixing Dayan’s arrival date, Israeli diplomats told French officials that the visit might have to be postponed should the Israeli-Egyptian peace talks be at an important phase at that time. French officials reportedly expressed “understanding,” saying that “the peace effort must take priority over all other considerations.” According to current plans, Dayan will lunch with de Guiringaud on the day of his arrival and meet Giscard just before he departs the next day.
