The experience of building Israel from a virtually barren land to a bustling, modern and highly developed country resulted in a broad based and comprehensive building and construction industry which was capable of supplying the needed materials, elements, components systems and construction knowhow.
In view of the innovations, developments and knowhow that has attracted attention on the international level, the Government of Israel Trade Center here announced that it has arranged for the participation of a number of Israeli firms at the Building and Construction Exhibition scheduled for Chicago from Oct. 16-18, 1978. The areas Israel will be exhibiting are solar energy heating units, security locks, modular housing systems and marble floor tile.
The uniqueness of design and quality, and the innovative trends of the building and construction branches of Israel’s industry, have gained attention in export markets in the U.S. and Europe and sales this year should reach $45 million, the Government of Israel Trade Center said. By exhibiting at the fair the Israeli manufacturers hope to expand their distribution in the U.S. market even more.
