Britain will not take part Wednesday in “Palestine Day” sponsored by the United Nations. Lord Goronwy-Roberts, a foreign Office Minister, has told the Board of Deputies of British Jews that Britain opposed the establishment of the special UN unit on Palestinian rights which is running the day’s activities. However, he rejected a suggestion that Britain should reduce its contribution to the UN’s finances to mark its disapproval of the special unit which has an annual budget of some $400,000.
