The two chief rabbis of Jerusalem, Rabbi Bezalel Jolti and Rabbi Yosef Mashash, issued a statement Monday forbidding the participation in the High Holy Day services conducted by the Conservative movement. The rabbis said that any services held in the Conservative style would not be considered valid. They called on the public to attend traditional services.
