Israel sent an urgent letter this afternoon to Secretary General Kurt Waldheim following the bomb explosion in the center of Jerusalem, vowing that the Israeli government “is duty bound to take all measures necessary to protect the lives and safety of its citizens.”
The letter, sent by Israel Ambassador Yehuda Blum, charged that the latest outrage in Jerusalem is only one of a series of atrocities committed in recent weeks by the “criminal” Palestine Liberation Organization.
