The roar of young lions in the Safari Zoo at Ramat Gan will soon be reduced to a purr. Israel has sold eight of them to South Africa because the natural increase of the Lion population in the tiny zoo has created a housing problem. The beasties will be placed in cages and flown to South Africa by El Al.
