Czech Jewry has been without a rabbi for a full decade, the International Council of Jews from Czechoslovakia (ICJC) reported here. Dr. Richard Feder, the last Chief Rabbi, died in November, 1970 at the age of 95. The ICJC also reported that a designate rabbi is 21-year-old Daniel Mayer, presently a student at the Rabbinical Seminary of Budapest. In 1979, he officiated at the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services in Prague.
