JERUSALEM (May. 18)
Unrest continued on the West Bank over the weekend and while the curfew imposed on Hebron 16 days ago was partially lifted, a new curfew was clamped on a part of Bethlehem where a Molotov cocktail was thrown at an Israeli army patrol yesterday. One soldier received slight face injuries and a military vehicle was burned. More than 20 suspects were detained for questioning in the incident.
Another Molotov cocktail was thrown at an Israeli vehicle in Nablus today but caused, no casualties or damage. A resident of Halhoul was arrested in connection with the raising of a Palestinian flog over the local high school. The curfew in Hebron was imposed on May 2 after six Israeli yeshiva students were killed in a terrorist ambush attack. It was lifted today for the day light hours but will continue in effect after dark.
