The West German General Prosecutor has charged six members of an extreme right-wing group called “Braunschweiger Gruppe” with an attempt to revive neo-Nazism and the Nazi Party, which is banned in the Federal Republic. The six are also charged with planning to kill political personalities and budges and with plane to bomb public buildings and the fence on the border between East and West Germany.
The neo-Nazis are being tried in the town of Celle in Lower Saxony. A representative of the General Prosecutor himself is handling the case which indicates how serious it is considered by the Federal authorities. The names of the accused are Paul Otte, 56, Walker Heidel, 26, Oliver Schreiber 22, Hans-Dieter Lepzin, 37, Wolfgang Sachse, 37 and Heinrich Eisermann, 61.
