Before leaving Belgium where he was posted as press and cultural attache at the Israeli Embassy, Michale Bar-Yehuda was made an honorary citizen of the town of Tournai. Bar-Yehuda, as a member of the Jewish Brigade during World War II, was among the troops which liberated Tournai in 1945. His successor as press attache will be Yoacov Kenan and Yoav Eilon, a secretary at the Israel Embassy here, becomes cultural attache.
