Some 150 leaders of 50 friendship associations between Israel and other countries met here last week, the first such gathering, at President Yitzhak Navon’s residence at the initiative of the World Zionist Organization’s foreign affairs department. In addition to Navon, the gathering was attended by Foreign Minister Yitzhak Shamir and WZO Executive chairman Leon Dulzin.
