The Palestine Liberation Organization office in Budapest has been granted diplomatic status, according to the official Hungarian news agency, MTI. News reports from Budapest said that PLO chief Yasir Arafat, who is on an official visit to Hungary, today held talks with Prime Minister Gyorgy Lazar and Foreign Minister Frigyes Pula. Last October the Soviet Union announced it was giving official diplomatic status to the PLO office in Moscow.
