Journalists who contribute to North American newspapers and magazines of Jewish content and focus may now submit their entries for the 1982 Smolar Awards, conferred by the Council of Jewish Federations.

Marvin Holland, of Rhode Island, Chairman of the CJF Smolar Awards Committee, announced two major innovations for the 1982 Awards process. Participating journalists are now permitted to enter in each of the four categories and the names of finalists will be made public prior to the announcement of the winners. Winners will be honored at the 1982 General Assembly, November 10-14, in Los Angeles.
