Unofficial Jewish sources say a Jewish-owned shop was burned down last week on the Tunisian Island of Djerba. The sources said the shop was burned at retaliation for Israel’s Lebanese campaign. The sources claim that the Tunisian local authorities arrested the owner and charged him with arson instead of trying to find the culprits. The Tunisian national police contacted by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency disclaimed any knowledge about the affair, saying that no such incident has been reported to their headquarters.
