A vote on a coalition motion in support of Finance Minister Yoram Aridor’s economic policies resulted in a 40-40 tie Tuesday, prompting Aridor to stalk out of the chamber angrily accusing his coalition colleagues of showing a lack of confidence. He threatened to resign but did not. However, Aridor said he would not participate in Knesset votes until the matter was settled.
