The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra returned home Tuesday from a five-weeks tour of France, Britain, Italy and Venezuela. The series of concerts was described by IPO conductor and musical director Zubin Mehta as a “great success.” At the end of the Paris performances, Mehta was presented with the city’s Gold Medal.
