Israel Air Force planes bombed a terrorist base near Shamalin, Lebanon and returned safely to their bases today.
The Druze village, halfway between the coastal town of Damour and the mountain town of Aley on the Beirut-Damascus highway, was described as the staging area of pro-Syrian Palestine Liberation Organization terrorists who oppose PLO chief Yasir Arafat.
Reports from Beirut today said 10 Palestinians were killed and 10 Druze injured in the air raid. Four others were reported buried under the rubble of a twostory building identified as the terrorist headquarters. Eye-witnesses said the building was destroyed by a single bomb.
An Israel Defense Force outpost near Tyre came under fire this morning. There were no casualties. The outpost is at Burj El-Shamali, a Palestinian encampment outside Tyre.
