French President Francois Mitterrand inaugurated an exhibition last week tracing the Jewish people’s contribution to world civilization over the last 3,000 years. The exhibition, called “From the Bible to Present Days” for the first time shows outside Israel part of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Also on view are priceless archaeological objects including some dating back to the Second Temple.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
