Common houshold detergents can be effective as a shark repellent, scientists at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem have discovered in their research on the poisonous secretion of the Red Sea flatfish. The research showed that the sharkrepellent properties of this secretion in water are similar to those of common household detergent.
