Israel Air Force planes today attacked two terrorist bases in the Lebanese Bekaa Valley, the IDF spokesman said. The spokesman said that the two bases belonged to Ahmed Jibril’s rejectionist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC).

He said that one base, three kilometers east of Bar-Elias, consisted of six one-storey buildings. The other was three kilometers northeast of Bar-Elias and consisted of two single-storey buildings surrounded by tanks, armored vehicles and ammunition dumps.

Lebanese sources reported over Beirut Radio that one of the bases was part of the Syrian-backed Saika terrorist organization. There were no immediate reports on casualties or damage.

The previous IDF air raid — apart from the attack on the PLO’s Force 17 headquarters in Tunisia at the beginning of this month — was carried out at the end of September on targets east of Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley.
