Ruth Popkin, president of Hadassah, announced Tuesday that the organization will be providing immediate medical attention for Anatoly Shcharansky, who arrived in Israel today. Shcharansky will be receiving a complete check-up and medical care by a team from the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center headed by Dr. Mervyn Gotsman, head of the department of cardiology, who is also the personal physician of former Prime Minister Menacham Begin.
