The 1987 Wolf Foundation Prize in the arts is to be awarded to U.S. violinist Isaac Stern and Polish Composer Krzysztof Penderecki, Minister for Education and Culture Yitzhak Navon, who is also the chairman of the Wolf Foundation Council, announced. The two men will share the $100,000 prize, to be presented by President Chaim Herzog at a ceremony in the Knesset next May.
