Swiss Teacher Retains Job

Mariette Paschoud was not suspended from her job as a Lausanne high school teacher although she publicly announced she doubted the existence of the Nazi gas chambers during the Holocaust, but she can no longer teach history.

The Council of the Vaud Canton announced this decision of its inquest, begun seven months ago. The Swiss Army has suspended her from role as military judge in the reserves following her statement last August.
