Businessman and philanthropist Irving Crown died last week in Columbus Hospital here at age 92. An executive and director of various businesses, he and his wife established the Irving and Rose Crown School of Graduate Studies in American Civilization at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass. He also received the David Ben-Gurion Award from State of Israel Bonds in 1971.

He was honorary chairman of the Jewish United Fund here, which he served for more than 40 years, and was active in Anshe Emet Synagogue for 50 years. Funeral services were private.
