The Diamond Institute has reported that Israel’s exports of polished diamonds rose 26 percent during the first three months of 1987 compared to the same period last year. Value was up to $510 million from $406 million. Diamond dealers forecast a record year with sales of $2 billion compared to $1.7 billion in 1986.
