Israel formally handed over some 200 acres of farm land to Jordan last week, completing the border adjustment outlined in the peace treaty between the two countries.
At a ceremony Feb. 9 near Moshav Tsofar in the southern Arava, Israel officially transferred a stretch of some 200 acres.
The land will continue to be worked by Israeli farmers who will have special permits for access to the lands, which are now under Jordanian rule.
Another 1,000 acres in the southern Arava were transferred last month.
The two sides also recently signed agreements about tourism, border crossing and military liaisons.
