Genetic testing was done last week on unidentified remains found in Beersheba to determine whether the body was that of an Israeli woman who has been missing for two years.

The tests were carried out June 13 at the behest of the parents of the missing Israeli woman.

Past extensive searches have failed to turn up the body of Hanit Kikos, who was last seen two years ago hitching a ride outside Beersheba.

A Bedouin man from Rahat, near Beersheba, has been convicted for the rape and murder of Kikos. He is now appealing the conviction.
