JERUSALEM, Dec. 16 (JTA) — A Jerusalem company has developed an automated orange-picker that can do the work of eight people. The prototype of the picker uses an electronic eye to select the fruit based on size and color and then activates the arm. The company says the robot takes two seconds to pick an orange, compared with the five seconds required by a human.
