President Clinton is on the verge of dispatching U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to broker a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat. The meeting, to be held in an as yet undisclosed site in Europe, would follow up on an aggressive week of Middle East peacemaking in Washington.
