Israel expects to be notified in advance if the United States launches an attack on Iraq, Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai said in an interview with CNN. The comment came as officials from Russia, France and the Arab world attempted to mediate an end to the crisis over Iraq’s unwillingness to permit U.N. weapons inspections.
