City officials in a Chicago suburb agreed on a plan for the distribution of Ku Klux Klan literature to local residents in exchange for a promise from the KKK to cancel a planned rally. Officials in Cicero, Ill., said they had expected as many as 8,000 people to protest the rally and that security for the event would cost $140,000. They said an anonymous donor had agreed to raise $10,000 to pay for the production of the Klan literature.
