A Japanese magazine ran an apology for an article alleging that an international Jewish conspiracy led to the sale of a failed Japanese bank. The retraction came in the wake of a complaint from the Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Center. “We insulted Jews in our article in the Oct. 15 issue,” the Weekly Post said. “We thank the Simon Wiesenthal Center for pointing out our serious mistakes in the article. We are going to withdraw it.”
