Iranian officials agreed to allow 13 Jews accused of spying for Israel and the United States to appoint their own lawyers rather than use counsel already appointed by the courts, according to an American Jewish leader. Iran plans to postpone the trial by five days from its original April 13 starting date to give the new lawyers time to prepare their cases, added Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.
