Three Palestinians were killed during clashes between Palestinian gunmen and Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip, according to local hospital officials. A CNN correspondent, Ben Wedeman, was shot in the back during the pitched battle at the Karni Crossing. It was not immediately clear who shot him.
