Israel’s acting foreign minister met with U.S. Secretary of State Madeline to discuss the ongoing violence in the Middle East. Shlomo Ben-Ami was slated to meet with National Security Advisor Sandy Berger in Washington later Wednesday. The Palestinian Authority’s top negotiator, Saeb Erekat, also plans to meet with Albright this week, according to the U.S. State Department.
