The United States criticized Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat for accusing Israel of waging “fascist military aggression” against the Palestinian people and using weapons containing depleted uranium. “Statements such as those made by Chairman Arafat really have no place in this process,” U.S. State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said.
