The author of “Louisa,” a fictional retelling of the biblical story of Ruth and Naomi set during and after World War II, won a literature prize for emerging Jewish writers. Simone Zelitch is the second winner of the Samuel Goldberg & Sons Foundation Prize for Jewish Fiction, sponsored by the National Foundation for Jewish Culture.
