The Simon Wiesenthal Center urged Germany’s interior ministry to continue allowing researchers unrestricted access to the Berlin archives of the Communist secret police. Germany apparently is considering making access to the files — many of which contain information on alleged Nazi war criminals – – dependent on the subjects’ agreement.
