Palestinians held a one-day strike in eastern Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza Strip to protest Israel’s takeover of the Palestinian headquarters in eastern Jerusalem. Jerusalem Police Chief Mickey Levy said the closure order for Orient House was for six months, adding that reports saying Israel intends to hold onto the compound indefinitely are baseless.
