Israelis are being offered free housing in the Jordan Valley. Newcomers will not be charged rent or municipal taxes, a spokeswoman for the Jordan Valley Regional Council said Wednesday. Some 50 Israeli families have left the West Bank region during the past year because of Palestinian violence and an economic slump.
