Palestinian gunmen killed one Israeli and wounded another in a West Bank ambush. The Al-Aksa Brigades, affiliated with Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat’s Fatah movement, claimed responsibility for Monday’s attack. The group said it was avenging the death of one of its leaders, Raed Karmi, in a blast the militants blamed on Israel.
