President Bush praised Russia’s Jewish community after spending nearly an hour in St. Petersburg’s historic Choral Synagogue. Bush, his wife Laura and aides were met Sunday morning by St. Petersburg Chief Rabbi Menachem-Mendel Pewzner and about a dozen Jewish leaders and officials representing a broad spectrum of Russian Jews.
