An exhibit on Hungary’s wartime leaders is being revised following complains from the country’s Jewish community and from scholars. Critics charged the exhibit whitewashed the behavior of prime minister Ferenc Szalasi, who unleashed terror on the Jews after coming to power in 1944.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
