Israel’s Supreme Court recently outlawed the forced feeding of geese to produce foie gras. The court ruled that the practice that creates the delicacy constitutes cruelty to animals. Israel’s foie gras industry, which brings in $25 million a year, ranks third in the world, according to news reports.
