Howard Polsky, the author of “Everyday Miracles: The Healing Wisdom of Hasidic Stories,” died at age 75. The Columbia University academic, whose book, “Cottage Six: The Social System of Delinquent Boys” was considered a landmark in the examination of children’s institutions, died Oct. 20 from complications following heart surgery, the New York Sun reported.
